Hi, my name is David Tichbourne and this site is about promoting my hobby of Racing Pigeons. I wore the hat for effect …
Most of my knowledge comes from other racing pigeon flyers far better than myself, but I am happy to share what little I know, while I continue to “learn by doing” in my own loft, with my own birds.
Soon I will set the site up so you can add an account, to subscribe to my site’s updates. I will try to share my experiences and knowledge about how to manage these great athletes.
I live in a small town near Ottawa, Canada, race season runs from the end of April to early July for old birds, and from the end of July to late September for young birds. Old birds are birds that are a year or more old, and young birds are birds that were born in the spring of the year.
This winter, apart from hibernating, I will be making a “loft management plan” on this site as things will move quickly again next year, everything needs to be done right to minimize difficulties of our tough race schedule, and the many other factors which make this a tough hobby.
Thanks for visiting.
